Colourful India Tour Duration : 10 Nights / 14 Days Destinations Covered : Delhi – Jaipur – Agra – Gwalior – Jhansi – Khajuraho – Varanasi - Delhi Day 01 : Delhi Welcome, meet & assist at the airport and transfer to your hotel. Day 02 : Delhi  Morning sightseeing of Old Delhi visiting Rajghat, red Fort – built in red sandstone in 1683, is one of the surviving Mughal monuments, Chandni Chowk, Jama Masjid – the largest mosque in India, built by Emperor Shah Mahal.Evening free for rest or sound & Light Show or a cultural show.Day 03 : Delhi Morning sightseeing of New Delhi visiting India Gate – monument to the unknown Soldier, Rashtrapati Bhawan – unit by the British, is now official residence of the President of India Birla Temple, Humayun Tomb, Bahai Temple and Qutab Minar – built in 13th Century. Afternoon free. Day 04 : Delhi / Jaipur Depart by cocah or express train to Jaipur, Arrive and transfer to hotel. Afternoon free. Evening visit to “Chokhi Dhani” – A theme Rajasthani village resort… enjoy Rajasthani show with dinner. Day 05 : Jaipur Morning sightseeing of the ”Pink city” visiting the city palace, including Chandra Mahal, Mubarak Mahal, Diwan –I – Am and Diwan – I – Khas and the museum. Visit Jantar Mantar (the Observatory), Palace of winds and Albert Hall Museum. Evening visit Tripolia Bazar, Johari Bazar, vegetable / block printing and tie & dye factory. Day 06 : Jaipur / Agra Early morning elephant ride excursion to Amer Fort –a fascinating blend of Hindu & Muslim architecture built in the 16th century. Proceed to Agra enroute visiting Fatehpur Sikri,the ghost Kingdom of Emperor Akbar.Arrive Agra,transfer to hotel. Evening free (optional visit to Craft Bazar – marble inlay works etc.). Day 07 : Agra  Morning sunrise visit of Taj Mahal, the white marble memorial, WONDER OF THE WORLD.Taj Mahal was built by Shah Jahan in loving memory of his queen Mumtaz Mahal. It took 22 years to complete by 1652 AD. Return back to hotel. Later visit Itmad – ud – Daulah, another memorial predating Taj Mahal, Agra Fort – the red sandstone massive fort, built in 1556 AD. It houses the Pearl Mosque and many others. Evening free for rest & leisure.Day 08 : Agra / Gwalior Morning transfer to railway station for Shatabdi Express train going to Gwalior. Transfer from station to hotel. Late morning city tour visiting The Great Fort, Man Mandir – a six towered palace, Gurjari Mahal – the archacological museum, Tomb of Mohammed Ghaus and Tomb of Tansen - the famous musician. Eveninmg free. Day 09 : Gwalior / Jhansi / Khajuraho Morning transfer to railway station. Shatabdi Express to Jhansi (1 hour 10 mts). Transfer from Jhansi Railway station to Khajuraho by coach (5 hours) enroute visiting Orchha, once the capital city of Bundella Kings, well preserved palaces & temples from 17th century. Arrive Khajuraho, check in at hotel. Day 10 : Khajuraho Full day sightseeing of the world famous erotic temples of Khajuraho. The temples are divided into three geographical groups – Western, Eastern and Southern, built in 10th century onwards. Also visit the Archaeological Museum, and Shilpgram. Day 11 : Khajuraho / Varanasi Morning free for rest. Afternoon transfer to the airport for flight to Varanasi (flying time 40 minutes). Arrive and transfer to hotel enroute visiting Sarnath where Lord Buddha delivered his first sermon to his disciples expounding the principles of Buddhism. Day 12 : Varanasi Early morning boat excursion on the holy river Ganges. Return via the narrow streets visiting the Golden Temple of Lord Vishwanath. Afternoon visit Bharat Mata Temple, Durga Temple, Sacred Bull and drive past the Banaras Hindu University with its marble Shiva Temple and the busy shopping streets. Day 13 : Varanasi / Delhi Morning free. Afternoon transfer to the airport for flight to Delhi (flying time 1 hrs 20 mts). On arrival transfer to hotel. Farewell Dinner with Magic show or Indian Classical Dance. Day 14 : Delhi departure Day free. Evening transfer to the airport.
